Which dialects does PopPond include?
Seven: Lebanese, Egyptian, Syrian, Palestinian, Moroccan, Algerian and Fusha.
Are the recordings real people?
Yes. Every word is recorded by a native speaker of that dialect. Nothing is synthesised.
Does PopPond work offline?
Yes. Every photograph and every recording ships with the app, so it works on a plane, in a car, or anywhere without signal.
What devices does PopPond support?
Phones, tablets and Chromebooks.
How do I switch dialects?
Tap the dialect selector. You can change it on any word, at any time, and the change is instant.
Does PopPond have ads or accounts?
No ads, no sign-up and no accounts. Nothing interrupts and nothing needs registering.
Which books are included?
Ten books come with the app, with no trial period and nothing to unlock first. The rest can be added individually whenever you want them.
What data does PopPond collect?
There are no accounts and no personal data is required to use the app. The privacy policy sets out the detail.
About your data
The form sends your name, email and message so a reply can be written. It is not added to a mailing list and it is not shared. The privacy policy sets out what the app itself does.
